Henry’s Fork Ashton

Fishing has been good.  From Warm River down use rubber legs and streamers, they have been producing throughout the day.  From Ashton Reservoir down use the same and also hoppers (there are a ton of them).  Below the reservoir there are a lot of weeds as well that are flushing down stream that can make fishing difficult.  It will be a little easier fishing above the reservoir for the next couple days.

Henry’s Fork Island Park

Fish hoppers and cinnamon ant’s.  We have an amber cdc ant here in the shop that works great.

South Fork

Flow: 8050     This is a good time to be on the river.  Mutants stones are fishing well, use a foam flies or a mutant patterns tight to the bank and twitch them.  Fish rubber legs tight to the bank as well.  Riffles are still fishing well with pink alberts.

Henry’s Fork Ashton

The river is fishing good and the browns are starting to move.  Use streamers and rubber legs above and below Ashton Reservoir.  Stop in we’ll get you set up for a great day on the water.

South Fork

Flow:  8380  We fished it saturday and we were picking fish up on mutant stone patterns, chernobyls and rubber legs.  All fished tight to the bank.

Henrys Fork Ashton

We had a few hot days but it looks like the weather man is calling for some cooler temps to bring us into september and you know what that means.  IT’S STREAMER TIME!  We are still a week or so out from the real hot action but you can start using them for sure.  We have some killer Montana Fly streamers in the shop.  You can also use rubber legs trailing a lighting bug for nymphing.  Traditional style hopper patterns will work as well.

Use ants, hoppers, beetles, and callibaetis imitations.  A size 14 rusty spinner is a great pattern for the callibaetis.

South Fork

cfs 8840   Foam flys against the bank are still working.  You can also put a dropper on it as well.  With the cooler weather forcasted for the next couple days look forward to the browns trying to beef up for the spawn, and keying in on streamers.

Teton River

The best fishing is in the valley section up towards Driggs and Victor.  Use hoppers, beetles, and ants.  You can also use streamers especially with the cooler weather coming.

Warm River

Use hoppers, caddis, and attractor patterns.  Stop and feed the fish at the fish observation area on your way.  It’s a real hit with the kids.
